Rockingham County now offers all documents online through the electronic service, ClerkePass

Rockingham County, VA September 10, 2011 – Rockingham County residents are reaping the benefits of the digital age as the local government has made the switch to an electronic solution. The local courthouse (Circuit Court) will now issue all court documents, Land Records permits and orders and Marriage licenses online, saving time and eliminating waste for the locality.

Image-X Enterprises, Inc. has developed this technology based on Virginia Statute Uniform Electronic Transactions Act CODE ANN. § 59.1-485 to implement the electronic signature digital certificate system, ClerkePass. The online service enables the secure exchange of certified documents using state-of-the-art digital encryption technology. This provides online access to certified copies from any location, saving individuals lengthy trips to local courthouses and increasing document turnover rates from weeks to hours.

ClerkePass has been up and running in Rockingham County since August 20, 2011, and is growing in popular demand.
